Corporate Social Responsibility

We believe it is our responsibility as a large organisation to give back to the communities in which we operate. One of the ways we do this is through our Spirit program, the activities cantered around the program, and our larger Corporate Responsibility Strategy.

Growing  Responsibly identifies how we plan to be corporately responsible. We have depicted this commitment under three main flags – Inspiring our People, Protecting our Environment and Shaping our Communities.

Payroll Giving 'Spirit'

Implemented in 2009, Spirit is our payroll giving scheme, whereby employees have the opportunity to give to a number of charities, match-funded by Transdev up to $500 per person, per year.

Under the Spirit program, we support four key causes:

  • Cancer Research & Awareness
  • Animal Welfare
  • Awareness for depression and anxiety / helping those in need
  • Caring for sick children

These causes allow us to tailor our CR efforts much more effectively into the future, and continue to develop the program and other initiatives surrounding the program.

Our Spirit payroll giving scheme is currently supported by almost 10% of our employees and we hope to increase the level of commitment for Spirit and the awareness of our causes among staff in the coming year. Since 2009, more than $400,000 has been donated to our charity partners.
