Everyone travelling on a train must have a valid ticket or have tagged on with an AT HOP card. Customers must keep tickets with them until leaving the station or tag off when leaving the station. Travelling without a valid ticket or tagged on AT HOP card may lead to a penalty fare

Auckland Transport sets fares and fare boundaries for public transport within the region. For information on ticket types and fare pricing, including concessions, please visit the Auckland Transport website.

Customers can use cash (at some machines), EFTPOS and credit card to buy train tickets or top up AT HOP cards at Ticket & Top Up machines at stations. You can find a list of AT HOP retailers on the Auckland Transport website.
