Driver and Operational Roles
A great Platform Supervisor needs a mix of supervisory skills, safety awareness, customer service skills and good old operational common sense to be successful. Coupled with excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills this puts you in a prime position to liaise with Transdev’s Control room and Customer Service teams to deliver a high quality service via a train to platform interface. You will be busy, whether supervising customers or staff or managing train operations. This is a busy, fulfilling role where you could be dealing with hundreds of staff and customers on any given day.
As a Trainee Train Driver in Auckland, you'll be provided with comprehensive training, a very competitive pay rate which rises as you become qualified as well as many other great benefits. Our train drivers work in a fast paced environment where time management and the ability to remain focused is critical to ensuring the safe operation and timely running of services. As a driver you will prioritise safety of the passengers in everything you do.
To be considered for a Trainee Train Driver position you will need:
- The right to work in New Zealand
- A full, clean and current New Zealand driver's licence
- A good grasp of health and safety awareness
- The ability to work shifts over a 24 hour/7 day period
The application process involves psychometric and psychomotor testing, along with an interview, satisfactory criminal history check, medical examination and reference checks.
