We got behind New Zealand’s first Rail R U OK? Day on 20 April to encourage everyone at Transdev to give a helping hand to colleagues that might need a bit of support.
The R U OK? campaign, which aims to reduce the risk of suicide, was created by the son of an Australian sportsman who took his own life.
The Zero Harm team - ably supported by volunteers from across the business - was out in force at Britomart, Head Office, The Strand, Newmarket, Wiri, Papakura and Henderson to raise awareness of the importance of asking a colleague: “Are you OK?”
This simple question and the resulting conversation can make a big difference; showing someone that you care might even save a life.
